Instead of saying “hello” or “how are you doing?”, they walk up to me and shout their name. Example:

Me: Hello, how are you?

Them: Stevens.

I was unaware “Stevens” was an emotion, you rude fuck. The least you could have done is say hi before you yell your surname at me. I guess I should just be happy they’re not having a phone conversation and completely ignoring me.

It’s also a very big boost to my ego when people take their cards and throw them at me across the counter. This is quite common, I’m thinking maybe it’s a sign of respect now and I just haven’t realized it.

People do it on the phone too. I ask them how they’re doing and they respond with “what are the rates?” Then when I give them the information, they don’t say thank you or even ‘okay’, they just fucking hang up the phone. Sometimes if they don’t like the rates they’ll hang up on me before I’m even done talking.
